Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website thestori.ai (the "Site") or any related services provided by StoriAI Labs, Inc. ("StoriAI," "we," "us," or "our") (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and, if applicable, are at least the minimum age required to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you further represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account Registration & Security

  • Registration. To access certain features, you must register for an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Credentials. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach of security.

4. Description of Service

StoriAI offers a beta-stage, AI-powered "Chief of Staff" designed for executives and companies. By accessing or using the website, you authorize the Service to connect to your integrations—including cloud storage, messaging platforms, calendar systems, CRMs, ATS tools, and other productivity apps—to:

  • Search, summarize, and analyze your company's knowledge base
  • Generate proactive insights and recommendations
  • Automate tasks on your behalf to streamline your workflow

5. Integrations & User Data

  1. Supported Integrations. You may connect third-party services such as:
    • Cloud Storage: Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox
    • Email & Messaging: Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams
    • Calendar: Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar
    • Productivity & Collaboration: Notion, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Linear
    • CRMs & ATS: Salesforce, Zoho, Greenhouse, Lever
    • Others: Any additional OAuth-compatible services you authorize
  2. Permissions & Scopes. When you connect an integration, we request only the OAuth scopes strictly necessary to deliver the requested features (e.g., read-only access to files, read/write to calendar events, message reading). We do not access or use data beyond these scopes, nor do we use it for advertising or unrelated analytics.
  3. Third-Party Platform Policies. We comply with all applicable third-party platform policies, including:
    • Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use requirements)
    • Slack Platform Policy
    • Notion API Terms of Service
    • Atlassian Developer Terms
    • Linear API Terms
    • Any analogous policies for additional integrations
  4. Storage & Retention. Integration data is stored in encrypted environments (AWS US-East-1 and Zilliz vector DB) under a zero-retention policy: when you revoke access or delete data at the source, we remove it from our systems.
  5. Ownership. You retain ownership rights in your data. We receive a limited license to access, store, and process your data to provide the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

  1. Our IP. All content, software, designs, trademarks, and AI outputs generated by the Service are the exclusive property of StoriAI.
  2. License Grant. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use the Service during your beta access period.
  3. Restrictions. You shall not (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works; (b) reverse- engineer or attempt to extract source code; or (c) use our trademarks without prior written consent.

7. Beta Access & Fees

  1. Free Beta. The Service is currently offered as a free beta. We may introduce paid plans or fees in the future.
  2. Modifications. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
  • Transmit spam, malware, or any malicious code.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

9. Disclaimers & No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." STORIAI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI-DRIVEN OUTPUT MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR INACCURATE; YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING RESULTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORIAI'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). IN NO EVENT SHALL STORIAI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification Waiver

YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. STORIAI IS NOT OBLIGATED TO INDEMNIFY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY US AND HOLD US HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, AND EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If you have subscribed via email, significant changes will be communicated via email at least seven (7) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

15. Assignment

We may assign or delegate these Terms and/or the Privacy Policy, in whole or in part, to any person or entity at any time with or without your consent. You may not assign or delegate any rights or obligations under the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy without our prior written consent, and any unauthorized assignment and delegation by you is void.
